  • Who should sign up in PICPA's online voting system?
    All PICPA members who are updated in the payment of their membership dues as of May 19, 2020 are encouraged to sign up to be able to VOTE ONLINE on June 16, 2020. All CPAs are also encouraged to sign up in this portal to verify the status of your membership.   • Why do I need to sign up in PICPA's online voting system?
    Only members in good standing (MiGS) as of May 19, 2020 who have signed up in the PICPA ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL AS OF 12:00 noon on June 15, 2020 will be allowed to vote online. We strongly suggest that you vote online in order to avoid the hassle of going through the manual voting process. If you fail to sign up for an online election, you can cast your vote through manual or proxy voting.   • Who can cast the test votes?
    Only members in good standing (MiGS) as of May 19, 2020 who have signed up in the PICPA ONLINE REGISTRATION PORTAL on or before 12:00 noon on June 15, 2020 will be allowed to cast the test vote online.   • What are the information I need to verify and update in PICPA's online voting system?
    When you have signed up, please make sure to immediately verify your (a) local chapter, (b) sector and (b) membership status. LOCAL CHAPTER - You will not be allowed to change your local chapter under the existing guidelines SECTOR - You need to select a valid sector for you to enjoy the convenience of online voting MEMBERSHIP STATUS - You can request for an update of membership status if you have settled your membership dues in full on or before May 19, 2020.   • What will happen if I do not complete the information verification process?
    Please be reminded of the following: LOCAL CHAPTER - You can only vote for candidates in your registered local chapter. SECTOR - For members with NO acceptable sector information, you can only vote via manual or proxy vote. MEMBER STATUS - You can not vote, either online, manual or proxy vote, if you have not paid in full your membership dues on or before May 19, 2020.   • Will I be allowed to change my local chapter in PICPA's online voting sytem?
    You will not be allowed to change your local chapter under the existing guidelines. But you can request from PICPA for change of local chapter in three (3) months after the date of elections. PICPA ELECTION MANUAL, ARTICLE III, Sec. 6. CHAPTER MEMBERS AND SECTOR MEMBERS provides, among others: “Every member of PICPA shall be both a member of a Chapter and a member of a Sector. A CPA shall be a member of the Chapter of the province or city where his residence or place of business is located. In no case shall any CPA be a member of more than one (1) chapter or transfer to another chapter three (3) months before or after the elections.” You can submit you request for change of local chapter by accessing the hotline using this link - https://www.picpaelection.com/tech-support/hotline.   • Can I modify my sector information in PICPA's online voting system?
    The acceptable sector information include (a) Commerce and Industry, (b) Education, (c) Government and (d) Public Practice. For members with acceptable sector information, you can not change the sector information for the upcoming elections. But you can request from PICPA for a change of sector immediately after the date of elections, subject to three (3) year tenure and/or under meritorious conditions. PICPA ELECTION MANUAL, ARTICLE III, Sec. 6. CHAPTER MEMBERS AND SECTOR MEMBERS provides, among others: At the time of registration, a CPA shall also elect to be a member of a sector regardless of his chapter affiliation. A CPA shall be a member of only one (1) Sector of his preference: changes in Sector affiliation shall be allowed only every three (3) years except in meritorious circumstances as allowed in the uniform rules to be approved by the National Board (amended on November 26, 2005). For members with NO acceptable sector information, mainly applicable to newly passed CPAs, you need to select a valid sector for you to enjoy the convenience of online voting. If you fail to select the acceptable sector, you can still cast your vote manually or by proxy.     Not directly, but you can formally submit a request for update of membership status by presenting your proof of payment in full of your membership dues on or before May 19, 2020.
